Even though Graypay lets you send your friends Dollars or Pounds or Euro or Rupees, under the hood, it’s using a cryptocurrency called Ether. Since you can’t get Ether from a bank, you need a crypto wallet to hold it.
Ether is real money, so losing your crypto wallet is as bad as losing your meatspace wallet. Actually, not quite as bad. Since you can’t keep your driver’s license in your crypto wallet, if you lose it, you won’t have to go to the DMV 🙏 . Still, you’re as likely to find your Ether at the lost-and-found as you are your Benjamins. So don’t lose your wallet.

At some point you might want to move Dollars (or Pounds or Euros or Rupees) from your bank to your wallet, or send some crypto in your wallet to your bank. To do that, you’ll need an account at a crypto exchange.

To send money to your friends, add them to your address book, enter the amount to send, press “Send”, and Bob’s your uncle. Within minutes the money will be in your friend’s wallet. Asking someone to send you money (because they owe you half the grocery bill, you sold them your Babe Ruth card, or just because you lent it to them in your Daddy’s currency) is just as simple.
In fact, it’s all so simple we didn’t bother writing a user guide for Graypay. We did, however, write a FAQ, because our marketing people tell us people love FAQs. Whatever.
